A common mistake people make is to try and make one design fit both their web site and printed material. Anything that is a great web design is likely to be a poor print design, and vice versa. There are so many differences between the two media that it is necessary to take different design approaches to utilise the strengths of each medium and minimise its weaknesses, while keeping a strong overall visual relationship between the two.

I have over 20 years' experience in designing for print and working with print shops and agencies, using the industry-standard pre-press tools - QuarkXpress and Adobe InDesign for typesetting and layout, Apple Aperture and Adobe's Photoshop and Illustrator for image processing. All design and production work is carried out on Macs, which ensures maximum compatibility with agencies and print houses worldwide.
